Sep. 06, 2010 : Meadows on Main Bible Class

The Meadows on Main Bible Class derives its name from where we meet. We meet in the dining room at the Meadows on Main Senior apartments. Each week 25-30 christians gather for a hymn and a brief Bible class followed by lunch. The Bible class previews the lessons for the coming week's worship service. We read the lessons and discuss them, making applications to our lives. Lunch is a shared affair. Members of the class take turns preparing and serving something for the Bible class. This class has really become a community event each week as friends and neighbors gather around God's Word and enjoy some very good visiting. Come and join us!

Sep. 08, 2010 : RC Jail Ministry

The Renville County Jail Ministry is conducted each week as part of the 212 Coop Ministry. This is a ministry shared by the WELS congregations in Renville, Danube and Olivia MN. One of the pastors holds a Bible class inside the jail with those who are being detained. Attendance is voluntary.

We welcome anyone living at or visiting the RenVilla to come and join our worship service.

Sep. 08, 2010 : Catechism

A 2-year program of catechism instruction is offered to 7th and 8th grade students at St. John's. The class meets for an hour and a half each week. A typical class consists of reviewing a lesson, taking a quiz on the previous period's material, and learning a new lesson. In addition, students are expected to memorize Luther's Small Catechism during the course of the year. Students are also required to turn in two sermon summaries per month. Sep. 08, 2010 : Boy Pioneers

Our Boy Pioneers meet every second and fourth Wednesdays at 6:30 pm. If you have a boy between 4 and 14, please bring him along to join us for a program that will inspire, educate, and be great fun for your youth! Contact us for more information about the Boy Pioneers!

Sep. 12, 2010 : Choir Practice

St. John's Choir normally meets for a half hour each week following our worship service (from September through May) to practice songs of praise for presentation during worship, especially during festival services. If you would like to join St. John's Choir, please join us on Sundays after worship. If you have questions about the choir, just ask.
